"The History of the Academy"

AMCA - The Academy, was developed to provide an education grounded in Christian faith and values. The Christ-centered education proposed would be an extension of the Christian home and would encourage parental involvement in the child's development in all areas of education. God's presence will be taught and felt throughout the child's day at school.

AMCA - The Academy, opened in Fall 2000, with two Kindergarten classes, one First grade class and one Second grade class with only 30 students.  In November of 2005 full accreditation was granted through The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools through Christian Schools International. Here we are in the present school year 2007 / 2008 with 187 children Preschool 4's, Transitional K, and Kindergarten through 6th Grade...and growing! We now have computers in every classroom and a 16 station computer lab, two interactive SMART boards, expanded playground equipment and facilities, A Media Specialist to serve the AMCA Library, and a strong Learning Lab to assist students when learning differences are identified.

The Academy was birthed with a desire for all things excellent and for God's glory. The Academy's philosophy to embrace each child as a unique gift from God, and that all his children possess unlimited potential, is what distinguishes it from others. The students know that they are unconditionally loved by Jesus Christ and that He wants to be the Lord of their lives. It is a place where teachers educate the "whole child" - spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally.

AMCA IS PROUD OF IT'S VISION OF
"MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR TOMORROW"

The Academy believes in the development of the "whole" child - spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional in a Christ-centered environment. We value parents as partners in the educational process and encourage parental participation.
